My name is Alexandra, I am a qualified Pilates instructor who has been using contemporary and classical Pilates exercises in my clinical practice for more than 15 years. I have a physiotherapy bachelor’s degree obtained in Brazil and I moved to Australia in 2015, when I was granted an international Ph.D. scholarship at the University of Queensland. I have a specialization degree in Geriatrics and Gerontology obtained in 2009. I have a strong interest to study further the benefits of exercise and so I did a master’s degree in Rehabilitation Science in 2012.

I also have great research experience, aiming to combine the best evidence with clinical experience to offer the most appropriate Pilates exercises, which should be prescribed individually and based on the client’s goals. I am passionate about movement and being able to facilitate the best quality of life for my clients. I believe that building a strong and trusty relationship with the client is a key point to achieving the goals. My main clinical passions are older population falls prevention, pregnancy exercise management, and pain relief.

I am really dedicated to my client’s well-being and truly believe that Pilates is a great way to improve health mentally and physically. I have two beautiful and brave girls, who fill my life with joy, happiness, and a few grey hairs! I love traveling around the world, having different life experiences, and spending time with family and friends! Looking forward to meeting you and helping on your health journey!
