Rod is a Specialist Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist, awarded by the Australian College of Physiotherapists in 2013.  His clinical focus is on the assessment and management of complex musculoskeletal injuries and pain disorders and including the management of persistent spinal pain, rowing injuries and jaw pain. Rod has extensive experience in the private and public sectors here in Australia and overseas. He has worked with international sporting teams including the Australian Rowing team, British Rowing team, British Swimming team and Minardi Formula One team. 

He currently also holds an advanced scope position of Specialist Physiotherapist in the Back Assessment Clinic at the PAH, working closely with Spinal Orthopaedic and Neurosurgical Specialists and leading a multidisciplinary team. Rod is involved in the ongoing care of patients and providing second opinions on more complex cases. He also teaches on the postgraduate musculoskeletal masters program at the University of Queensland, national spinal courses and in Queensland Health. Rod is the Australian representative on the International Federation of Manipulative Physical Therapists- an international organisation representing physiotherapists with post-graduate qualifications in manual/musculoskeletal physiotherapy and endorsing evidence based practice. He also Is a national executive committee member of Musculskeletal Physiotherapy Australia.
